BRITISH SCHOOLS FILM FESTIVAL

ON MONDAY, 12 NOVEMBER 2012, CLASS 10E WENT TO WATCH THE KING’S SPEECH
Although the film was in English, without subtitles (!!!!), the students were impressed by this stunning film.

What they all could understand were the swearwords the king was using – they were wondering what the German translations would sound like…..

When swearing or singing he lost his stammer and was able to speak and shout fluently!

The historical background was very impressive as well – there were black and white BBC reports about the Reichsparteitag in Nuremberg on the Zeppelinfeld.

All in all a worthwhile experience.
